A nucleus is 5 drawn-out comb frames in a temporary box with resources (pollen/nectar, honey), capped and uncapped brood, a laying accepted queen, and approximately 15,000 + worker bees. Varroa-hygienic specific hybrid bees.

A package of bees contains 3 lbs. (approximately 10,000) of workers and a caged queen. Our packages are produced out of Franklin, NC. This is the best recommendation for repopulating “dead outs”, top bar, or any style of the hive.
